Led by Carly Kuhtz and Carrie Larsen, experts in international and homeland security with over a decade of experience, our team has worked with clients ranging from Facebook and Google to UC Berkeley and the Colorado Department of Public Safety. Our shared mission combined with our extensive experience in intelligence, crisis response, and emergency management offers a unique blend of skills tailored to tackle the complex intersection of security and climate resilience, setting Summit Risk Advisors apart.

Meet the Team

  • Carly Kuhtz

    CO-FOUNDER

    Meet Carly Kuhtz, co-founder and intelligence specialist at Summit Risk Advisors. Working as an intelligence analyst for some of the biggest names in tech, her experience includes stints as an intelligence analyst specializing in crisis response and open source collection and dissemination.

    Carly co-founded Summit Risk Advisors in 2023, in order to help businesses and organizations navigate complex security challenges.

    She graduated with a Master of Arts in International Studies from the Korbel School of International Studies at the University of Denver where she met Carrie. She holds a certificate in Homeland Security and specializes in Latin American Studies.

  • Carrie Larsen

    CO-FOUNDER

    Meet Carrie Larsen, co-founder and risk specialist at Summit Risk Advisors. Carrie has worked as an emergency management consultant with the University of California Berkeley during the COVID-19 pandemic and as the program administrator for the State of Colorado’s Wildland-Urban Interface Code Board.

    With a passion for helping organizations build resilience and respond to a changing world, Carrie teamed up with Carly in 2023 to create Summit Risk Advisors.

    Carrie graduated with a Master of Arts in International Studies from the Korbel School of International Studies at the University of Denver where she met Carly. She holds a certificate in Homeland Security and specializes in climate security.
